Books-By-Mail is a free service for members who are home-bound or in rural areas of the county, who cannot make it to the library and have no one to pick up books for them. Qualified patrons are given a catalog of available titles from which to choose. Books are mailed to the member's home address. A Hold (reservation) can be placed on items that are not readily available for checkout. A member with Internet access can request that his/her card be set up to place "holds" from home. Inter-library Loan (ILL) books and materials may be borrowed, by our members, from other libraries for short loans. This service is especially helpful for research materials and older items that maybe out of print. There is a fee of $3.00 per item for this service. The Loan History of an individual member can be created upon the member's request. History can be accessed by the staff at the time of check-out and the member can also access the information from their home computer with his/her own, personal access code. A Meeting room can be reserved for civic and community groups. Individual groups can use the room up to four (4) times a year for FREE. Capacity of the room is 30 people. No political or religious organizations may reserve the room. See "Meeting Room" for more information. Programs and events are scheduled throughout the year for all age groups. Programs include lectures, workshops, crafts, weekly story-time, book club, Summer Reading program, and others. See our "Programs/Events" calendar. Tax Forms are available in both state and federal forms. We have reproducible tax forms from past years for ten (10) cents per copy. Please ask a staff member at the circulation desk to assist you . |
