Administrative Assistant - Engineering

Summary:  Carries out construction permit procedures; Facilitates activities of Board of Adjustments; Facilitates activities of Planning Commission; Carries out bidding and purchasing procedures; Carries out payroll procedures; Performs related services.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.               Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in administrative support work; however, any combination of education and experience which meets the qualifications listed above will be considered.

2.               Ability to travel to attend conferences and seminars.

3.               Possess valid Alabama drivers license.

4.        Must meet City of Enterprise physical standards which include drug and alcohol testing.

Starting Salary: $11.41/HR

Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker I (Parks & Recreation)    Part-Time*

 

Summary:

The employee may be assigned to either the building maintenance supervisor, the grounds maintenance supervisor or to the horticulturist.  Duties may vary according to supervisory assignment and the employee may be required to cross train in all areas as needed and perform duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

1.               Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in building or grounds maintenance work; however, any combination of education and experience, which provides the necessary characteristics listed above will be considered.

2.               Possess a valid driver’s license.

3.               Ability to work non-standard hours or weekends when required.

4.               Must meet the City of Enterprise physical standards which include drug and alcohol testing.

Starting Salary: $9.09/HR

Waste Water Treatment Operator III - Public Works
 
Summary:

The employee performs operational and maintenance duties at city wastewater lagoons and plant.  Inspects the electrical and mechanical components of the lagoons and ensures they are operating properly.  Cleans lagoon screens daily and ensures water is flowing properly.  Inspects plant electrical and mechanical components and ensures they are operating properly.  Makes operational adjustments to ensure discharge meets ADEM regulations.

 

Minumum Qualifications:

 

1.            Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

2.            Possess and maintain Grade III Wastewater Certification.

3.            Possess a valid Alabama driver’s license.

4.            Ability to work nonstandard hours, holidays and weekends as scheduled.

5.            Must meet City of Enterprise physical standards which include drug and alcohol testing.

 

Starting Salary: $12.78/HR

Applications may be obtained in the Human Resources office, or at the water counter in the Water Department; both are located inside City Hall.  

Applications should be returned to Human Resources.  All applications are kept on file for six months. Applications may be rejected if incomplete or if supporting documentation is not submitted as required.  If applying for multiple positions, only one application is required.  Applications will be pulled according to job preference listed and qualifications.  All updates or changes to applications can be made inside the Human Resource Dept. or by phone.
